We have now started a new autumn season – it will be our 13th year a little later this year. We keep expanding the range with more products from existing suppliers, and new ones are added all the time. The latest is Benchdogs UK, who delivered about a third of their range to us in August. It will be filled in as time goes on. We have had the products for sale for just over a week and several orders have already gone out to customers. We hope you will appreciate these products. Later this autumn Benchdogs UK will visit us and show what you can do with their products and what advantages they have over the machine makers' own products and other similar makers. It will be exciting to see. More information will follow a little later.
Another supplier we have waited a very long time for is Incra. They have now sent information on what they can deliver and when. A delivery is coming now in October, and a really big one next year. They currently have about 1.5 years' lead time on orders. We will update each product with information on when it is expected. Some of the items coming now are the Miter 1000 HD, Miter 1000 SE, Miter V27, Miter V120, Incra LS17SYS, LS17WFNCSYS, LS25SYS and LS25WFNCSYS. A few JessEm Mast-R router lifts are also coming.
On the weekend of 22–23 October we have extra opening hours and will hold a woodturning and finishing extravaganza. As we have written before, Martin Saban-Smith from Hampshire Sheen will show how to use their products. Ingemar Liman from Limans Träsvarvning and local turners will also be here to demonstrate and answer questions. Tormek will be here too, demonstrating (the emphasis will be on turning and other fine woodworking sharpening).
That weekend we will have brand-new tools to show: Glenn Lucas signature woodturning tools from Henry Taylor. We also already carry the Easy Wood Tools range, Black Line Tools and Narex, and we hope to have their loose turning tools in stock by then.
If all goes to plan, a pallet from Lost Art Press with the latest books and tools released over the summer and autumn will reach us shortly. As usual we will update when it lands in Europe.
We love it when you get in touch about things you have made with your purchases from us. When we were at Gunnebo Castle a month or so ago, many of you came up and talked to us; it is really nice to put a face to the names on the order slips. One example is these pictures of a Veritas spokeshave kit from someone we met in Gothenburg. You find it here along with other kits. If anyone else would like to show something, just get in touch.
There were a few more things we meant to write about but have not had time to sort out in the shop yet: the membership pages, shipping and a few other things. That will have to wait for future newsletters. It was a bit shorter this time; we will do better next time. Until then, take care and have fun with your projects.
