Veritas replacement blade

These planer blades are made of PM-V11, A2 or 01 special steel for best planing results. Our replacement planer blades are 2.4mm (3/32") thick, almost 20% thicker than standard. This thicker gauge significantly improves planing performance and gives a high quality result.
They are all 178mm (7") long and have a 30° edge angle and fit most older planers such as Stanley, Record, Memo, Jernbolaget, etc. in the respective planer size.
Due to the fact that this type of planer has been manufactured (steel planers) for more than 100 years, there are deviations that have occurred in dimensions over these years, so sometimes you have to modify your planer a little to make a replacement planer steel fit.
Planer blades for jointers are (1/8") thick with an edge angle of 25°. Grooves for adjustment are of course available that fit in the adjustment mechanism for these planers.
You can find the right planer by measuring its width, it is either 1-3/8" (low-angle, 60-1/2 type) or 1-5/8" (standard 9-1/2 type).
The British-made Record and Stanley have a side adjustment groove that is 5/8" and have three grooves for this adjustment. Planers without this adjustment feature should have 7/16 grooves Older American Stanley butt planers have 8 grooves.
