  Milkpaint

  Here you will find milk paint and related accessories.

  We now sell about 85 different colors in different sizes of packaging. Larger ones are available on request. The milk paint is delivered as a powder. You mix it yourself with water (1 part paint + 1 part water). The color gives a matte surface that can be given a layer of varnish, oil or wax depending on how you want it to look. Milk paint is a natural product without toxic additives. It dries quickly and is easy to paint with. Ideally, you apply the paint in two layers, letting the first one dry for about 30 minutes before the next. If you want it really smooth, you can sand lightly before the next layer.
  1 bag is enough for about 3 square meters of pint size, ie about 0.5 liters of paint, the larger quart package gives twice as much paint.
  Milk paint (also called casein paint) has been used for a long time, there are traces all the way back to ancient Egypt showing that it was used there. For a little insight into milk paint and its history, there is more to read on the website of the Building Care Association. (In Swedish)

  Why Sample, Pint, Quart and Gallon? - We buy these colors in the US and they come in traditional measures and we have to convert these to metric measures and units. 1 gallon is 4 quart, 1 quart = 2 pint.

  Wax

  Wax for surface treatment and protection of wood
  

  Furniture wax is a type of protective coating used on wooden and other surfaces to protect them from damage and improve their appearance. It is made from natural ingredients, including beeswax, carnauba wax, mineral oil and turpentine. The wax penetrates the wood and forms a protective surface that prevents moisture and dirt from penetrating the surface.

  One of the advantages of furniture wax is its natural properties. Unlike synthetic coatings, furniture wax contains no harmful chemicals or solvents that can be hazardous to your health. It is also biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

  Pigment Powders

  Unlike Milk Paint, Real Milk Paint® Pigment Powders do not contain binding agents; these powders are pigment only and are mainly composed of iron oxides and earthen powder colors. Use this colorant additive to add to concrete, Pure Tung Oil, or other mediums to transfer color to your world.
  Pigment Powders are packaged in a jar. 

  You will receive 16 oz. by weight of the powder in a 20 oz. by volume jar, because the specific densities/weights vary by color pigments.

  Brushes

  Advice and Care instructions
  Because the brushes contains pure bristles, it it essential that the bristles are not subjected to drying solvents, without afterwards re-greasing the brush.
  Before use: oil impregnate (with cooking oilo, canola oil, motior oil, etc.) throughout the brush for a few days. Then wash out the brush with a oily soap.
  After painting with water based paints as well as “old” colours such as distemper, wash the brush throughly with oily soap and water.
  After painting with oil based paints, do not use drying cleansers. Finish with a oily soap wash.
  It´s important to smell the brush, rightly washedm it should just smell soap or maybe pig bristles.
  If you have a longer painting break, lubricating the brush with oily soap and shape the brush so it doesn´t "stick out", keep the brush together like that. Then wash throughly remove the soap before use.
  You can also hang the brush in a jar/bucket with oil and leave it that way. Here the brush will keep It´best until next season´s use. 
  NOTE! Linseed moil has a risk of spontaneous combustion in contact with dry objects.

  Intrinsic Colours

  Hampshire Sheen - är en engelsk tillverkare av vattenbaserade färger för infärgning av allt som är trä! Med 12st basfärger som du kan späda och blanda som du vill, får du en ny dimension på dina alster. Den lite längre öppettiden ger dig lite mer tid att få till den där ytan som du vill ha. En sak som du också snart märker är att dom luktar.....
  
  Infärgningen tas upp på djupet i trät och behåller ådringen och karaktären på trät. För dig som vill börja testa finns en liten start-låda med alla 12 färger, tillräckligt för att kunna bekanta sig med dom.
  
  När du sedan hittat vilka färger som passar dig finns dom i 250ml flaskor. Du lägger på dom med trasa, pensel, svamp eller med färgspruta, alltefter vad som passar dig.
  
  Vill du ha ett större djup i färgen lägger du på fler lager eller börjar med en svart eller mörkare färg som ger ett större djup.
