Before Christmas I received a promotional email offering a mitre gauge for a table saw at a fairly low price. As I had long considered getting a short crosscut fence for my Hammer B3, I went ahead and ordered one. As I half expected, it did not fit my sliding table without considerable modification. On the other hand, I now had a good fence for a shooting board. No sooner said than done: with a few offcuts of MDF and other bits, I quickly put this together:

It works well at every setting on the protractor, but you need to tighten the lock firmly so the setting doesn't shift. So I drilled a hole behind the fence on the right-hand side for a small piece of brass rod, which locks the setting perfectly.
I made the strip that holds my Lie-Nielsen No. 51 in place low enough that I can also use the shooting board with my Lie-Nielsen No. 9.

I finished it with a couple of coats of shellac and a coat of the kind of wax my friend Brian calls "Dick wax", after the supplier.
