Veritas replacement blade in PM-V11 tool steel for other manufacturers' bench planes, such as Stanley or Record. The face is lapped to a flatness tolerance of 0.0005" or better, with an average roughness (Ra) of 5 microinches or better. It is 0.100" thick, 25% thicker than the industry standard of 0.080", which reduces chatter. The blade is 7" long, has a 30° bevel and fits almost all makes of the plane sizes listed. Due to minor manufacturing variations over the last century, the pawl on the lateral adjust lever of older planes may have to be filed slightly to fit the blade slot. Made in Canada.
