When Veritas launched their new DX60 and NX60 block planes, they wanted to give them a finish that took them a step beyond their already well-regarded quality tools. The NX60 and DX60 are the finest planes Veritas has made so far, and they share much of their technology with the other Veritas planes.
The polished NX60 is made of ductile iron with a little nickel, which gives it better corrosion resistance. The DX60 is made of the same ductile iron as the other planes. Both have knobs, screws and other details in stainless steel.
