We started selling turning tools 5–6 years ago; it felt like a natural extension of the range we already had. We began with two products from Narex, and in a few months their whole range will be in stock. Then we became the first retailer outside the USA of Black Line Tools turning tools, which are developed and made in South Africa. We have brought in Henry Taylor from England when customers have asked, but now we will keep a range of theirs in stock and add more products over time. The latest addition among manufacturers is the American Easy Wood Tools. We received almost their entire range a few weeks ago and have started sending the products out to those of you eager to turn. Several other manufacturers are coming soon; one old friend is Briwax. It has been made in England for more than 150 years, and we have had a small range before. Now we are bringing in a larger range and more "colours", and on request we can order other colours and the larger pack sizes too.
We have ordered a larger range from the Spanish clamp maker Piher, arriving shortly. Besides classic clamps of every kind, they have released a small new product that will be interesting to test and use. There are of course lots of similar products, but Piher has developed this one and makes it in Spain, like all their other clamps that we stock.
We are also working on making the website better all the time. One of the latest features we have added is the ability to show video for each product. Many manufacturers have short instruction films about their products. We previously linked to some of them in the text, but now they have their own space on each product.
Documents that may be of interest also have their own space now, and we will add to that over time too. They might be manuals, instructions and so on.
We have many loyal customers who come back to shop with us, several times a year even, and we could not be more grateful! We have wanted to give something back and have, for example, offered discounted or free shipping when you log in. Now we are starting to expand on this and will introduce a kind of members' club, where you will belong to different groups (right now you become a 'Birch' or 'Oak' member; these are just working names, it could become 'Block Plane' and 'Rubank' or something else fun. We welcome suggestions, leave a comment.) We will come back with exactly what the member benefits will be, but they will include discounts on products and shipping, special offers and so on. Of course it costs nothing and we don't use the information for anything; all you need to do is create an account. If you have shopped as a guest before, we can add those orders to your account, just get in touch with the details and we will sort it.
We will finish with a few mentions you have given us. We found the feature in Facebook that shows when someone 'tags' us, and we want to pass it on. Do go and look at the rest of what they have posted, it is very fine and interesting.
