One week left until Christmas. We are busy sending out Christmas presents, or nice gifts you have bought for yourselves. Nothing in particular stands out this year; the tools going out span our whole range. There is still time to place an order for delivery before Christmas. If we have it in stock so that we can pack it on Monday or Tuesday, it should arrive in time. We are also open on Saturday from 10 to 14, and on Wednesday.

We have restocked properly with two large deliveries from Veritas: lots of planes, every kind of marking gauge and plenty of other things. Veritas is not slacking; according to an email we received about how things are going for them, they are producing more than ever before. They aim to ship all their outstanding orders this winter and spring, so we look forward to future deliveries from them. Another thing they have been working on is updating parts of their planes. They have invested in new machines that can do an even better job, so they have refined the planes and will start releasing them in the spring.

Good has become even better!

All the Lost Art Press books are in stock, along with lots of nice Swedish books on woodworking and craft. Woodworking bookshop

The latest book from Lost Art Press is Christopher Schwarz's brick of a book about chairs. When we unpacked it today, it felt like holding a holy book; the thickness and weight were striking. It will be exciting to read over the coming holidays.

We keep receiving products from Kreg. We now have their portable workbench and sawhorse in stock. They go perfectly together and make a good temporary (or permanent) work table. Kreg

Kreg has also released a new router lift, which we receive after the weekend. It is designed for standard routers rather than the smaller round ones that are common.

Next year will be exciting in many ways; we have a lot simmering away and just waiting to reach you. New manufacturers (as usual we only buy direct, not through wholesalers or other shops) are on their way into our range, and we have written a little about two of them before. The first, which has already shipped goods, is JET. We have their 12"x21" (318x500 mm) lathe in stock and will soon receive more machines. We are working on listing their entire range, both for direct purchase and factory delivery.

The next manufacturer on its way is Easy Wood Tools, the American maker of turning tools and accessories. The first delivery is expected in January.

Perhaps we should call 2022 the year of the lathe?! More is coming that fits that description.

We have written about Hock Tools before; it was the second manufacturer we brought in after Veritas. We now have (more or less) their entire range in stock. The latest to arrive were their DIY kits. We have made a separate category for these: kits, and it will be filled with more things over time.

Other things that have arrived or are on their way include Narex: we have good availability of the Richter chisels, and a delivery of the standard chisels is planned for January. Ehoma has shipped a restock of clamps, which are currently out on the seven seas for delivery at the end of January.

Trend has released a range of battery-powered machines, and one of them is a router that we now have in stock. We will test it and post information here. It takes shanks up to 8 mm and comes with a 4 Ah battery and two bases for different jobs.

We want to thank you for another incredible year. We really do have the best customers in the world, and we will keep bringing you the best tools, the most readable books, the smartest accessories and everything else. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
