Which tool should I use to peel bark from logs?

To peel bark from logs and green wood, a drawknife is the best tool. You pull it towards you with both hands and take the bark off in long strips.

Choose a large drawknife, 200 mm wide or more, such as the Narex straight or curved drawknives. The small carving drawknives are made for smaller craft work and are too small for logs. A curved drawknife follows the curve of the log better, while a straight one is easier to sharpen.
