Veritas is releasing two more saws these days, and they are now in stock with us. They are two gent's saws, sometimes called hobby saws depending on their use: a rip-cut saw with 20 tpi and a crosscut saw with 22 tpi. Both can be resharpened and, like their larger relatives, have bubinga handles and a steel-reinforced polymer (plastic!) back that keeps them stiff and gives a straight, accurate cut.
These saws are used for fine woodworking, hobby work and, for example, dovetailing in furniture making.
