The firm seating and fine adjustment let you make delicate adjustments to the depth of cut. Available with a concave (550) or convex (500) sole; spare cutters are also available.
The concave spokeshave may be used instead of a drawknife to chamfer square timber, but is more often used by furniture makers to shape curves such as cabriole legs, or to blend machined curved surfaces such as posts and stair rails.
