The peg teeth cut in both directions, so the saw cuts on each person's pull stroke. The saw comes complete with two beech handles and fittings.
Maintenance: the saw is sharpened with a large file. Saw setters are too small for teeth of this size.
Choose a saw about twice as long as the diameter of the wood you want to cut, so that you get enough stroke.

Products that make the parcel longer than 120 cm count as bulky, for example long saws, planes, rules and clamps. Such parcels sometimes need special handling by the carriers.
At the moment we do not charge any extra fee for bulky shipping. You always see the total shipping cost in the cart before you confirm the order.
Which handsaw to choose depends on the tooth pattern and the number of teeth per inch (tpi). Rip teeth cut along the grain and crosscut teeth across it. Few teeth give fast but rough cuts, and many teeth give slower, cleaner cuts.
Backsaws such as tenon saws and dovetail saws are used for precise joinery. The guide covers tooth patterns, sharpening and choosing a saw.
