The quill travels a full 80 mm with one turn of the handle, and the integrated depth stop gives repeatable drilling depth, including blind holes. Poly-V belts give smooth, vibration-free running with maximum power transmission, and one-handed, tool-free belt tensioning makes speed changes easy. The top belt cover is held magnetically and has a safety switch. The table is surface-ground cast iron with clamping T-slots and a height-adjustable insert; it tilts 45° both ways and can be adjusted square to the chuck. Table height is set by rack and pinion. The induction motor is bolted to the head to prevent vibration, and the head has a bright, tilting LED work light and a crosshair laser for centre finding.
