The heavy, extra-wide cast iron bed (GG-20) gives very smooth operation and stability even with unbalanced pieces. Speed is infinitely variable with 3 belt steps, from 200 to 3600 rpm, and the Smart Control system ensures maximum torque, beneficial for turning large pieces. The belt is easy to reach from the front and simple to tension, and the Poly-V belt drive is quiet and suitable for continuous operation. Quick-release levers position the tool rest and tailstock simply and accurately, and the tailstock quill has a 9 mm through-hole for drilling through the work.
