Because we like the Low Angle Jack so well, we decided to make a Low Angle Jointer 22" (55.9cm) long, like the No. 7, but with the blade mounted bevel up at 12°. This jointer weighs in at 7.35 lbs., making it a powerful workhorse for heavy stock removal. Blade is 2¼" (5.71cm) x ¼" (6.35mm) thick.

Low angle planes are versatile, uncomplicated tools that will do a great job on end grain and long grain in most situations. A steeper blade bevel (up to 40°) will enhance performance in difficult woods.
