Veritas® Low-Angle Block Plane

Our low-angle block plane stands apart from all others. Its 12° bed angle and low cutting angle of 37° excel at working end grain. It has higher side wings ideal for shooting, finger grips in each side for better control, and a combined blade advance and lateral adjust that is the most sensitive and accurate available. Two blade guide screws prevent blade shifting.
Its compact 6-3/8" long by 2" wide ductile cast iron body can take hard knocks, and the adjustable nosepiece does not extend past the body, avoiding unwanted blade shifts if the plane is dropped.
Machining is done to exacting standards in our factory; the milled sides and sole are surface ground to a fine finish. Weighs 1-3/4 lb and use a lapped, 1/8" thick by 1-5/8" wide, 25° blade.
