The Record Power WG250 is a wet stone sharpening system for woodworking tools and general household sharpening such as knives and garden tools.
The friability of the stone is chosen so that worn abrasive grains break away as heat builds up, exposing fresh cutting crystals.
Speed is adjustable from 90 to 150 rpm, to compensate for the reducing stone diameter or to remove material faster.
Torque is adjustable, so drive pressure can be increased for demanding jobs and to compensate as the drive wheel wears.
A left-hand thread on the nut keeps the stone secure. A drip guard and the polycarbonate water tray protect the top of the machine and direct drips back into the tray. An integral storage tray holds frequently used accessories such as the stone grader and angle finder.
The included WG250/K diamond truing tool keeps the stone concentric and flat.
