Toothed replacement blade for the Veritas detail palm plane with flat sole, for wood with difficult grain.
Toothed blade for the Veritas detail palm plane with flat sole (Lee Valley 05P90.01). It is an option alongside the standard plain blade supplied with the plane.
The teeth cut the surface in narrow grooves instead of lifting a full shaving, which makes it easier to level wood with difficult or reversing grain without tear-out. The surface is left ridged and is then finished with the plain blade, a card scraper or sandpaper.
Fits the Veritas detail palm plane with flat sole. The concave, convex and double-convex planes have their own blades.
Supplied as a single blade.
