Hampshire Sheen food safe Danish oil, thinner and more penetrating than other Danish oils. It contains over 50% pure tung oil and a low-odour biodegradable solvent, with no artificial varnish, resins or other vegetable oils.
Hampshire Sheen food safe Danish oil, thinner and more penetrating than other Danish oils. It contains over 50% pure tung oil and a low-odour biodegradable solvent, with no artificial varnish, resins or other vegetable oils. It is easy to apply, odourless when dry, deeply penetrating and protective, will not chip, flake or peel and is naturally water resistant. One coat makes the figure pop and any applied colour almost glow.
Use it on fruit and salad bowls or items needing a more satin finish, though it can be buffed to a gloss after many coats. Translucent pale brown in the tin, it slightly darkens the wood.
How to apply:
Sand to your desired grit; 400 is recommended
Apply with a paper towel or rag
Remove excess oil after a few minutes
Allow 20 minutes between coats and apply a maximum of two before curing
Cure for at least 24-48 hours before buffing and use
Recoat as required
