The Flexcut KN53 Stub Sloyd Knife has a shorter blade than the original Sloyd Knife for more control in smaller projects. It is great for spoon carving, whittling, marking and general woodworking, from roughing to detail: shaving bark, or using the fine tip for eyes, noses, mouths, hair and other details.
The blade has no flex, making it sturdy and reliable for deep cuts. It is thick along the spine with a high-carbon steel core for a very hard edge with superior edge retention. The tang runs completely through the handle for strength, and the handle is conditioned cherry with a brass ferrule. The blade is hand ground and polished, so length may vary slightly.
