The improved handles are waxed hornbeam with brass plated ferrules. The blades are made from Chrome manganese alloy at 59 Rockwell.Hornbeam is dense and perfectly suited to hitting with a mallet. Individual chisels are supplied with plastic edge protectors which double as hangers.
