Record Power Coronet Hawk 32 mm (1 1/4") Multi-Tooth Sprung Point Drive Centre, 2MT

Multi-tooth sprung point drive centre from the Record Power Coronet Hawk range, made in Sheffield from high-alloy steel for a longer-lasting edge. The centre pin retracts into the body under tailstock pressure, so the ring of teeth holds the work with evenly spread pressure. As the pin retracts it cannot split the timber, making it ideal for small, delicate work and laminated timber.
The pin tension is adjustable: lower for small, delicate work and higher for hardwoods and large timbers. Work can be removed and accurately repositioned using the marks left by the pin and teeth.
The 32 mm size suits side-grain bowl blanks and can hold natural-edged bowls between centres, especially when seated in a 32 mm recess.
