Veritas anodized aluminum straightedge, 24" long. Shop accuracy begins with a benchmark straightedge as a surface reference.
Veritas anodized aluminum straightedge, 24" long. Shop accuracy begins with a benchmark straightedge as a surface reference. These anodised aluminium straightedges will not rust, and they are wide enough to stand on edge unsupported, leaving both hands free to adjust your tools precisely.
Extremely useful for setting up machines such as planers and jointers, they are 1 3/4" high and 7/16" thick, and the reference edge is machined flat to within 0.003" over the entire length. A hang hole allows storage on a nail or hook.
Our straightedges should be straight within a very small tolerance, which is plenty for most woodworking tasks such as checking planed surfaces and plane soles.
If you need an even tighter tolerance, there are more expensive straightedges available, but that is reflected in the price.
If you suspect your straightedge is not straight, feel free to contact us or drop by the shop and we will take a look at it.
Most products are restocked on an ongoing basis, but delivery times from the manufacturer vary. When an item is out of stock, the button Notify me when available appears on the product page.
Click the button and enter your email address, and we will email you as soon as the item is back in stock. If you are logged in, your email address is registered automatically. If you want to know when the next delivery is expected, you are welcome to contact us.
How often items are restocked depends on the supplier. We receive deliveries from Veritas about once a month, Lie-Nielsen ships in batches and we order from Incra about once a year. You can also add the item to a wishlist in your account, where you can see whether it is in stock.
