Right after initial hardening, the steel is cryogenically treated, cooled with liquid nitrogen to as low as −190 °C. This completes the transformation of austenite, increasing both hardness and toughness. Named after Narex founder Václav Richter, the Richter series represents the best of Narex materials, heat treatment and machining. Every chisel is marked RICHTER EXTRA.
