Veritas 2 1/4 tum Wooden Bench Plane Hardware Kit, PM-V11 Blade

These plane kits let you build a wood-bodied smooth, jack or jointer plane with a Norris-style mechanism for easy depth and lateral adjustment. You can customize the size and shape of the completed plane, creating a practical tool that you can rely on for many years to come.
Each kit includes a blade and a Norris-style adjuster with a steel cup to seat it in, plus a knob, tapped insert and cross pin for the lever cap, all made of brass. You have the choice of a 2" wide, 1/8" thick blade or a 2 1/4" wide, 3/16" thick blade in A2, O1 or PM-V11 tool steel, all with 25° bevels. You provide the wood of your choice.
The 2” wide blade requires an inner body width of 2 1/16”, a minimum blank length of 8”, a minimum blank width of 3” and a minimum blank height of 2 1/2”. The 2 1/4” wide blade requires an inner body width of 2 5/16”, a minimum blank length of 8”, a minimum blank width of 3 1/4” and a minimum blank height of 2 1/2”.
