Rolled edge skew chisel, perhaps the most versatile tool for turning between centres. It can produce a very smooth finish and suits beads, coves and other decorative work.
The rolled edge gives more control and smoother, more precise movement and tilting on the tool rest than a straight-edged tool.
The blade is high-speed steel (HSS), which holds its edge longer, and the handle is close-grained, stable and heavy beech.
