Spindle roughing gouge for use between centres on parallel grain. The deep, wide flute removes material quickly.
Mainly for roughing out spindle blanks, but also useful for some finer work.
The blade is high-speed steel (HSS), which holds its edge longer, and the handle is close-grained, stable and heavy beech.
The handle has the ProComfort profile for improved comfort and control, developed over three years with ergonomics experts at Sheffield Hallam University.
