It makes project building highly efficient: Automaxx one-motion clamping automatically adjusts to the exact material thickness and clamps pieces from 13 to 38 mm thick. Pull-out support feet give stable support for large workpieces, and GripMaxx anti-slip material keeps the piece from shifting while you drill.
A dust collection attachment connects to your vacuum to keep the workspace clean. The jig has a sturdy, steel-reinforced spine and hardened steel drill guides for precise work, plus on-board storage for the hex wrench and bits.

All Kreg pocket-hole jigs drill the same type of pocket hole. The difference is how fast and conveniently you work:
R3 and 310 – small and portable, good for occasional projects and repairs
320 – two drill guides for faster work
520PRO – the most versatile, with VersaGrip clamping that rotates 360°
720 and 720 PLUS – a bench jig with Automaxx auto-adjust clamping for 13–38 mm material, for bigger projects
XL – extra-large pocket holes in 2 × 4 and 4 × 4 timber
The drill bit for Kreg pocket-hole jigs is 9.5 mm (3/8"). If you are unsure, the 720 is the most convenient choice for furniture and joinery.
Two things decide which Kreg screw you need for your pocket hole:
Length – by the material thickness, for example a 25 mm screw in 13 mm material, 32 mm in 19 mm material and 64 mm in 38 mm material
Thread – coarse thread for soft wood such as pine, plywood and MDF, fine thread for hardwoods such as oak and beech
Kreg screws have a wide head that pulls the joint tight and a self-drilling tip that reduces the risk of splitting. The screw kits contain the most common lengths and threads and are a good start if you are new to pocket-hole joinery.
Visible pocket holes can be hidden with plugs. You get the best result with plugs of the same wood as the project, so they blend in.
With the Kreg custom pocket-hole plug kit you cut plugs in standard, Micro and Heavy-Duty sizes. Fit the drill guide block in your 700-series pocket-hole jig, such as the 720 or 720 PLUS, and drill with the plug cutter. Glue in the plug, let it dry and saw or plane off the excess flush with the surface.
