The Bridge City TS-2v2 is the largest of the Bridge City fixed-blade try squares, with an 8" blade. Unlike the smaller squares, it has laser-etched metric scales on both the inside and outside edges.
The blade is hardened stainless steel, so you can use a marking knife without damaging it, and is accurate to 0.002" on both the inside and outside edges. It is passivated for corrosion resistance and glass bead-blasted for a non-glare matte finish that can be marked with a pencil and wiped clean. The blade has an 8:1 dovetail cutout for quick dovetail layout, and slightly rounded corners to avoid deformation if dropped.
The ergonomic handle is anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, with mirror-image pieces that hold the blade securely and give a positive grip in many orientations. The orange insert in the handle is intentionally loose and allows the square to be taken apart and re-squared if needed; it does not affect function. Designed by John Economaki.
