Toothed replacement blade for the Veritas detail palm plane with convex or double-convex sole, for wood with difficult grain.
Toothed blade for the Veritas detail palm plane with convex sole. The convex and double-convex planes use the same blade, so it fits both Lee Valley 05P90.09 and 05P90.05.
The teeth cut the surface in narrow grooves instead of lifting a full shaving, which makes it easier to shape and level wood with difficult or reversing grain without tear-out, for example in hollows and recesses. The surface is then finished with the plain blade.
It is an option alongside the plain blade supplied with the plane.
Supplied as a single blade.
