Compact geared scroll chuck for small to medium lathes, 1" × 8 TPI thread. The package includes 50 mm standard jaws, 87 mm faceplate ring, deep wood screw and handle.
The SC3 is lighter and more compact than the SC4 and suits small to medium lathes. The compact design reduces load on the lathe spindle and bearings and gives better access to smaller workpieces. The chuck takes the full Record Power jaw range.
The jaw fixing system fits Record Power jaws and is also compatible with several other chuck brands.
Precision engineered gears (Super Geared True-Lock) give accuracy and smooth, solid operation.
The deep wood screw is held in the chuck jaws and grips bowl blanks firmly, so no separate woodscrew chuck is needed.
The chuck body is high tensile steel. The enlarged jaw slides are heat-treated high tensile steel reinforced with nickel and copper, for high holding power and load capacity.
Thread 1" × 8 TPI.
Supplied with 50 mm standard jaws (62313), 87 mm/3.5" faceplate ring (62572), SC3 operating handle (62816) and deep wood screw, right-hand thread (62833).
