Can I run the Pégas scroll saw without the foot pedal?
Yes. Pégas scroll saws work without the foot pedal. You start and stop the saw and set the speed with the knob at the front of the arm.
The foot pedal is an accessory that fits the SCP16CE, SCP21CE and SCP30CE. It lets you start and stop the saw with your foot and keep both hands on the work, which is handy when you often re-thread the blade for inside cuts.
