This time we are doing a classic "New Products Newsletter".

A new supplier, Matthias Fenner Toolworks, sent a first batch of tools a few weeks ago. They are made in Germany and are of the highest quality. After the summer we will expand the range, and we feel greatly honoured to be one of only 4 shops around the world that sell them. Proof of the high quality is this review by Christopher Schwarz. Today we have three of the types in stock. https://rubank.se/sv/brand/117-matthias-fenner-toolworks

From Japan we have received wooden plugs in three sizes. A handy product if you don't want to use nails/screws.

From the Japanese file maker Iwasaki we have received several new models of files/rasps. The old type is also back in stock.

We have a whole category of "Do-It-Yourself products", which are various wooden planes where you get everything you need and then build your own tool. The latest addition is one of Veritas/LeeValley's project kits, a stool with a "Danish cord" seat. During the summer we thought we would build it ourselves as a project for this blog.

If you have a Stanley #45 combination plane, there is now a box from Veritas where you can keep all your blades and accessories. We also have a whole pile of other boxes for various Veritas planes. Otherwise, over the last few weeks a great deal of restocking has arrived: Veritas, FlexCut, Henry Taylor, Tormek, Pegas, Lie-Nielsen and several other manufacturers. After switching website we have started a major inventory of the whole range. We have had some problems with the stock counts being off by +-1. The new system is much more stable and the errors should be drastically reduced. We also have a "cash register" for those of you who shop in the store, which speeds up that part. We know we still have some problems with the new website, among other things missing images. This is because most of the ones we had on the old site were of such poor quality that the new website would not accept them, so we are adding new ones all the time. Unfortunately a lot of them will have to be redone again, as Google will soon require a certain resolution for all images to be shown in search results. There are also a few small bugs we are trying to get rid of, for example that the image sometimes shows enlarged when you open a product. If you have thoughts or feedback on the new site, we want to hear them. You get a bit blind to your own home when you sit and work in it all day. On Saturday (30/5) Narex will be dropping by the shop to show their products. Also a "Save-the-Date": on 5 September there will be an event at our place in Västberga, where we will showcase several of our manufacturers and several other craftspeople will show their work. More info will follow.
