Cutting down the rods on your Moxon vise should not be a problem, so feel free to give it a go.
We only stock complete kits and do not sell loose rods, so if you buy new rods you also get new handwheels. We no longer sell the long version, partly because of its length. In our experience the shorter version is plenty for most people.
